Antonio Paesano

R&D Project Manager, Additive Manufacturing Focal The Boeing Company

Antonio Paesano is a R&D Project Manager and Additive Manufacturing Focal at The Boeing Company, with more than 25 years of R&D experience in additive manufacturing, and advanced materials and manufacturing processes. He is responsible for implementing new production equipment and increasing productivity for commercial and military aircrafts produced at different factories. He also supports material testing and analysis, quality and process improvement, and metrology. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, and a trained Back Belt. 

Antonio earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, and Master in Polymer Science; holds three patents, authored and co-authored 50 technical papers, and two book chapters on additive manufacturing, advanced materials and manufacturing, testing and analysis, design, metrology, and quality and process improvement. He has worked in US and overseas, in industry, academia, government, and as a consultant. He was invited speaker on additive manufacturing at Pennsylvania State University, University of Delaware, Drexel University in Philadelphia, and 2016 Additive Manufacturing National Forum. He received the CAMX 2017 award for “outstanding technical paper” for his paper on sustainable polymers for additive manufacturing. Before joining Boeing, he held management and R&D positions at The Dow Company, the University of Delaware, and Italian National Council Research.
