Siva Narayanan

Siva Narayanan is Solvay’s Global Logistics Director. He supports Solvay’s various business units as an internal logistics consultant promoting supply chain excellence.   He is a member of Solvay’s Global Maritime Council which engages with ocean carriers worldwide. 

Siva has been in the international logistics field for over 35 years, a major part of it with the NOL Group of Companies. He has been involved with operations turn-around, change management, contracts and procurement, strategic planning, business development, logistics solutions, sales and marketing, and client relations. He started his career in the merchant navy as a seagoing officer. He moved into ship management, and then into the commercial world of logistics.

In addition to the United States, Siva has lived and worked in Singapore, Thailand, and India. He has presented his views on logistics-related matters at various industry forums, such as the Defense Attaché’s Forum in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Exports Forum organized by The Journal of Commerce and Shipping Digest in New York, The Transpacific Maritime Conference in Long beach California and others tailored for specific forums and companies.

He is also the President of the United States Shippers' Association.
